Sage 50 Accounts Classroom Courses

Sage 50 Accounts classroom courses are specifically designed to introduce you to the software and its features depending on your current level of understanding.  Consisting of 4 levels, as you progress your skills will be developed helping you to achieve the most from your accounts software.  Courses start with Level 1 progressing to Level 4 and are located within training centres across the UK.

Sage 50 Accounts – Level 1

Level 1 for £290 plus VAT

  • Prerequisites:
    • A degree of computer literacy
  • Who Should Attend:
    • Those who have no or limited experience with Sage 50 Accounts
  • Overview:
  • By The end of the course you will be able to:
    • Confidently navigate Sage 50 Accounts
    • Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up their data entry
    • Filter their customer and supplier lists
    • Create departments
    • Enter opening balances for nominal, customer and supplier accounts
    • Use and amend the Chart of Accounts
    • Set up tax codes, Financial Year settings and basic configuration
    • Use passwords and restrict user access

Sage 50 Accounts – Level 2

  • Prerequisites:
    • A basic understanding of Sage 50 Accounts and ideally will have completed Level 1: Setting up your accounts.
  • Who Should Attend:
    • Anyone looking to develop their skills in Sage 50 Accounts with more of a basic understanding of the software.
  • Overview:
  • By The end of the course you will be able to:
    • Post the following types of transactions- Supplier invoices
      • Credit notes
      • Customer receipts and payments
      • Bank and cash transactions
      • Recurring entries, contra entries and journals
    • Correct transactions
    • Check and back up their data – including scheduling backups and data checks using the Backup Manager
    • Use searches and filters
    • Manage the sales ledger, including disputing invoices

    • Attendees are expected to have a solid level of understanding of Sage 50 Accounts and ideally will have completed Stage 3: Period end tasks, returns and reconciliations.
  • Who Should Attend:
    • Anyone looking to develop their skills in Sage 50 Accounts with a solid understanding of the software and the more complex processes.

    • Understand and process purchase/sales orders
    • Produce foreign currency orders, price lists and generate Intrastat reports
    • Manage stock records- Plan and maintain records
      • Record adjustments
      • Perform stock takes
      • Run a stock Year End
      • Make global changes
    • Use product pricing and discount structures
    • Use the bill of materials function to assemble finished goods from stock components
